Donald R. Cawley, 71, of New Columbia, passed away on Thursday, Oct. 19, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Born in Lewisburg on Oct. 5, 1946, he was the son of the late George and Mildred (Ranck) Cawley.
Donald was a 1964 graduate of Milton High School and had worked for E.H. Kleckner retiring in 2012.
He enjoyed working on old cars, carpentry, spending time with his grandchildren, family gatherings and western movies, especially John Wayne.
Donald is survived by a son, Wayne Cawley, of New Columbia; a daughter and her husband, Wendy and Chris Lawless, of Milton; four grandchildren, Forrest Lawless, Madison Lawless, Christopher Lawless Jr. and Ethan Lawless; a great-granddaughter, Ember Cale; three brothers and their wives, Andrew and Kathy Cawley, of Muncy, Phillip and Rachael Cawley, of New Columbia, and William and Grace Cawley, of New Columbia; and a sister and her husband, Cheryl and Dave Rheppard, of Milton.
He was preceded in death by a granddaughter, Colleen Clayton; and three brothers, Terry Cawley, Robert Cawley and Joseph Cawley.
Friends and relatives will be received from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Oct. 24, 2017, at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, followed by funeral services at noon with the Rev. Jamie Dries officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
