Dewey M. Hubler, 88, of Selinsgrove, passed away on Tuesday evening, Jan. 3, 2017, at the Manor at Penn Village, Selinsgrove.
He was born Feb. 10, 1928, in Lewistown, a son of the late Jacob and Willa (Narehood) Hubler.
Dewey was a 1946 graduate of Sunbury High School.
He retired in 1993 from Anthracite Industries, Sunbury, where he was the superintendent of vehicles.
He had attended the Beavertown God's Missionary Church and the Port Ann Wesleyan Church. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Mifflinburg
He is survived by two daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy and Mike George and Carol and Jim Manz, both of Northumberland; and three sons and their spouses, Dewey Jr. and Wendy Hubler and Tedd and Kimberly Hubler, both of Sunbury, and John Hubler and Scott, of Northumberland; four grandchildren, Troy, Michael, Steven and David; two great-grandchildren, Jacob and Haedyn; one sister, Darlene Brink, of Harrisburg; one brother, Francis Hubler, of Middleburg; and his companion, Pauline Martin.
He was preceded in death by one son, Elwood Hubler in 1957; two sisters, Della Hubler and Audrey Karschner; and four brothers, Cleveland, Forest, Clarence and Lewis Hubler.
Visitors will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Monday at the V.L. Seebold Funeral Home, 601 N. High St., Selinsgrove, followed by the funeral at 11 with the Rev. Paul Sheets officiating.
Burial will follow in the Northumberland Memorial Park, Stonington.
