Devan Michael Shoemaker, 28, of Millerstown, passed away on Tuesday, Sept. 19, 2017, from injuries sustained in a workplace accident. He was the husband of Emily M. (Onavage) Shoemaker, to whom he was married for three years.

Devan was born on June 23, 1989, in Lewistown, the son of Pattie (Ranck) Brenneman, of Mifflintown and the late Michael Shoemaker.

He was a 2008 graduate of East Juniata High School and a member of the East Juniata FFA where he had the honor of receiving the Keystone FFA Degree. He also attended Penn College of Technology, Williamsport. Devan was employed at Amazon Fulfillment Center, Carlisle for seven years.

He was a member of the Free and Accepted Masons, Lodge No. 619, Middleburg.

Devan had a love for animals and loved spending time with his beloved pets, Max and Daisy.

He loved spending time in the outdoors, riding four-wheelers, gardening, cooking and doing home craftsmans projects. But most of all, he loved spending time with his family. He was a good friend and devoted husband, but above all else he was an amazing daddy. He will be sorely missed by many.
