David E. Guyer David E. Guyer, 91, of Covered Bridge Road, Middleburg, passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019 in Bloomsburg, surrounded by his family.
He was born March 11, 1927, in Delaware Township, Juniata County, a son the late David W. and Gladys C. (Miller) Guyer. On Dec. 24, 1954, he married Frances P.A. (Decker) Guyer, who preceded him in death on Aug. 19, 1994.

David was a graduate of Thompsontown High School.
After high school he served in the Navy during World War II and the Korean War.
His most recent employment was as a machinist at AMP, Inc., in Selinsgrove, where he retired in 1989.
He was of the Protestant faith. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Post 5640, in Middleburg.
In his spare time, David enjoyed farming, NASCAR racing, gardening, tending to his chickens, watching game shows on TV. He especially loved spending time with his family and his dog Trixie. He was an avid Pittsburgh Steelers and Pirates fan.

Surviving are four daughters, Susan Yerger of Middleburg, Mary Bogar of Beavertown, Ruth Anceravage of Bloomsburg, and Martha Hart of Middleburg; three sons, James Guyer, Thomas Guyer and Samuel Guyer, all of Middleburg; 13 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Charles, Jay and Dale Guyer; six sisters, Gloria Delancey, Patricia Hess, Carol Kemp, Catherine Cramer, Darlene Corrigan and Bonnie Guyer.
He was preceded in death by one great-grandson, Zarek Yerger; two sons-in-law, Lawrence Hart and Stephen Anceravage; and four brothers, George, Wharton, Allen and Karl Guyer.
Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, March 15, at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 130 S. Zechman St., Beavertown, where the funeral will be held at 10 a.m. Saturday, March 16, with the Rev. Thomas Adams, officiating.
Burial will follow in Zion United Methodist Church Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in David's memory may be made to Zion United Methodist Church, 1366 Zion Road, Middleburg, PA 17842, or to the American Cancer Society, 1948 E. Third St., Williamsport, PA 17701.

I remember his story walking home in the dark and had a deer stand and leave him touch it's nose. Great cousin and will miss him.

Davey and I worked on the same shift at
Amp, he used to tell me stories about his Navy Career, Davey was a very gentle person.
