Dartt M. Becker, 86, of Watsontown, died Wednesday, Jan. 3, 3018, at his residence.
He was born Aug. 20, 1931 in Canton, a son of the late Kenneth M. and Florence (Dartt) Becker. On Aug. 16, 1952, Dartt married the former C. Jeanne Eshelman who survives. They celebrated 65 years of marriage together last year.
Dartt served his country proudly during the Korean War in the Navy.
Dartt and his wife owned and operated the Ben Franklin store in Watsontown for many years.
He was a member of the Presbyterian Church, Watsontown, the Lions Club, the Watsontown Area Business Association, the Rod and Gun Club, and a lifetime member of both the American Legion and the Warrior Run Volunteer Fire Department.
Dartt enjoyed hunting, fishing in Canada, antiques, auctions, bowling, shooting guns, camping, traveling, and cars.
In addition to his wife, Dartt is survived by three sons and daughters-in-law, David M. and Linda L. Becker, of Paxinos, James M. and Patti L. Becker, of Watsontown and Thomas D. and Rebecca J. Becker, of Lancaster; 10 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.
A public viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the Presbyterian Church, 401 Main St., Watsontown, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Paul Smith officiating.
Burial will take place privately in the Watsontown Cemetery.
