Daniel M. Zettelmoyer, 66, of Watsontown, passed away Wednesday, Oct. 18, 2017, with his family by his side at the Gatehouse Hospice Unit at Divine Providence Hospital, Williamsport.
Born in Lewisburg on Dec. 2, 1950, he was the son of Patricia (Wertz) Zettelmoyer, of White Deer, and the late Robert Zettelmoyer. He was married to the former Donna Arentz. His death breaks a marital union of 41 years.
Daniel was a 1968 graduate of Milton High School. He was a heavy equipment operator and union steward for the IUOE Local 542.
He was a member of the Watsontown Borough Council for five years, the Warrior Run Area Fire Department, the F & AM Lodge 401 in Watsontown, the Keystoner's Drum and Bugle Corps., and the Keystone Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed camping at the Shangri La Campground in Milton.
In addition to his wife and mother, Daniel is survived by two daughters, Shanna Martz and her husband Joshua, of White Deer, and Deanna Zettelmoyer, of Watsontown; a son, Daniel Zettelmoyer II and his wife Meghan, of Turbotville; seven grandchildren, Mercedes Zettelmoyer, Autumn Zettelmoyer, Daniel Zettelmoyer III, Matthew Zettelmoyer, Avery Zettelmoyer, Breanna Martz and Joshua Martz II; a sister, Debra Sheets, of Milton; and a brother, Robert Zettelmoyer II, of White Deer.
Friends and relatives will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 22, 2017, at the Shaw Funeral Home, 400 N. Front St., Milton, where funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. Monday with the Rev. Donald L. Snyder officiating.
Burial will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.
