Nothing more has been on my mind this past week other then the great memories I have of Uncle Duck. He was always a loving husband and father and I was so happy to be part of his family when I was growing up. Will always remember him taking us to ball games, then to Tasty Freeze.....also our picnics on Shikelemy Mt., going fishing, and sharing cookies after Friday night grocery shopping. I remember the first time I saw him when I was a little girl when he came to my grandparents house to pick up Aunt Bonnie for a date.......he was so handsome. I have soooo many great memories of growing up and Uncle Duck is part of all of them. Loved going to Sunbury and being with his family, including... siblings, nephews and nieces and want to say I Love You All. Rest in comfort with all your loving memories of Uncle Duck. RIP Uncle Duck........Love CheriRead more

Bonnie I am so sorry for your loss. My deepest sympathies to you and your family. I can remember him coming in to Grand way to get you and he always had a smile on his face and he was always so lighthearted and he was just one of those people that could make you smile. He was a wonderful man.

Our hearts are broken. I have many memories because our Funk family celebrated life and family get-togethers like no other. From the time I was born, and Mom telling me how you stopped in every day to see me, to watching you hold my baby (who's now 36) in Rea & Derricks giving him Reeses pieces in the warm until I was able to get my disabled car running again, and then a few years ago seeing you holding fishing conversations with my precious grandson. You were a best friend to my Dad, and you were there when we needed you the most in his death. You've touched 4 generations in my life and countless numbers of others have similar stories to tell. You are the definition of a "gentle" man an...d a "gentleman" and they are rare these days. I will miss you dearly. And I thank God for the privilege of calling you my uncle. Rest in peace, Uncle Duck. I love you, "Beaner"Read more

My dear uncle Duck , I have so many great memories. Coaching football together, coaching baseball against each other, hunting and all the fishing , looking at my new Harley and telling me that is a lot of Crome to keep clean and of course he laughed. I think one of my favorite memories of him was the time he was at our house on North 7th street in Sunbury and the Memorial Acres was not there yet , it was all swamp and catty nine tails. Uncle Duck and I were tossing my brand new football back and forth when he decided to kick my football . Well it was probably the highest and longest punt he ever kicked right into the middle of the stinky swamp. He looked at me with that. Oh no look , and ...said I will go get it . I told him he could not go in there it was really deep and stinking just forget it , it as ok . About a week later he brought me a new football. He was definitely a mentor to me in so many ways. Love you uncle Duck and will never forget you.Read more
