Dale L. Hackenberg, 75, of South Center Street, Beavertown, passed away on Thursday, Dec. 21, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born May 23, 1942, in Penns Creek, a son of the late George E. and Anna P. (Smith) Hackenberg. On June 27, 1970, he married the former Barbara A. Logue who survives.
Dale was a graduate of West Snyder High School.
He was previously employed at Fisher Electronics and later worked for 30 years as a fuel delivery truck driver for Bilger Fuels, Tate Oil, and Farm & Home. After retirement he drove school bus for four years for Narehoods.
He was a member of the Beavertown United Methodist Church and a member of the Beavertown Rescue Hose Company.
Dale enjoyed woodworking, attending PSU girls basketball games, and always looked forward to his "round table" discussions over coffee with his friends at Vince's in Beaver Springs.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by his sister and brother-in-law, Bonnie S. and Robert C. "Bob" Rice, of Beavertown; a special aunt, Delores "Lori" Hackenberg, and special cousin, Marsha Shaw, both of Medina, N.Y.; and his cousins.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Anna Marie Hackenberg.
Friends and family will received from 10 to 11a.m. Wednesday at the Beavertown United Methodist Church, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Jim Jacobs and the Rev. Kathy Mercado officiating.
Burial will follow in Troxelville Union Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Dale's memory may be made to the Beavertown United Methodist Church, 211 W. Walnut St., Beavertown, PA 17813.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
