Cora's Story

Cora M. Landis, 83, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday, March 16, 2017, at her home.
She was born Dec. 28, 1933, at home in Mount Pleasant Mills, a daughter of the late Norman and Mabel (Frantz) Dressler. She was married to Richard A. Landis who preceded her in death on June 20, 2013. The couple were married for 51 years at the time of his passing.

Cora retired from the Pennsylvania Automotive Association, Harrisburg.
She was a member of Aline United Methodist Church, Mount Pleasant Mills, Women of the Moose Selinsgrove Pa Chapter No. 2244, and was a former member of the Liverpool American Legion Post 364.
Cora enjoyed playing cards, going to the casinos, and traveling with her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Richard A. Landis II, of Mechanicsburg; one brother and sister-in-law, Richard and Erna Dressler, of Dover, Pa.; four sisters and three brothers-in-law, Esther and Ronald Fogleman, of Millsboro, Del., Lois and Ronald Hoover, of Port Trevorton, Judy Leitzel, of Scranton, and Joyce and Rusty Wagenseller, of Mount Pleasant Mills; sister-in-law, Betty Dressler, of Mount Pleasant Mills; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one sister, Bernice Dressler Shupe; and two brothers and a sister-in-law, Samuel and Shirley Dressler, and Carson Dressler.

Friends and family are invited to the viewing from 11 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, followed by the funeral at noon, with Pastor Debra Dailey officiating.
Burial will be in St. John's Lutheran and Reformed Cemetery, Mount Pleasant Mills.
