Clarence W. Heckman Clarence W. Heckman, 87, of White Deer Pike, White Deer, passed away Oct. 7, 2018, in Milton.
He was born Jan. 8, 1931, in Milton, a son of the late John C. Sr. and Catherine (Nitterhouse) Heckman. On Feb. 10, 1951, he married the former Polly Stump who survives.

Clarence was a 1949 graduate of Milton High School, and was a veteran of the Air Force serving in the Korean War.
He was employed by ConAgra in Milton, retiring in 1996.
Clarence was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church, New Columbia, a member of the VFW Post 8206, Turbotville and the American Legion Post 71, Milton, where he was a past commander, past adjutant, and served faithfully with the funeral honor guard for many years.
He enjoyed collecting coins and Hess trucks. He liked history and Western movies. Clarence liked to keep a garden, tinker around the house and was a handyman. He was a giving man who volunteered his time to help others and most importantly he loved his family.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by one daughter, Jeanette "Jan" Hanlon of New Columbia; two brothers, Guy Heckman of Milton and William Heckman of Muncy; four grandchildren, Saranda (Brungard) Fritz, Kalicia Brungard, Michael "Tony" Heckman, and Stephen Heckman; and three great-grandchildren, Lydia, Lucas, and Evalynn Fritz.

Clarence was preceded in death by one son, Michael T. Heckman; two brothers, John C. Heckman Jr., and Harold Heckman; and two sisters, Jean Baker and Jessie Mae Prowant.

Friends and relatives will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Friday at the First Baptist Church, 316 Golf Course Road, Milton, followed by a memorial service at 2, with the Rev. Jamie Dries officiating.
Burial with military honors will follow in Highland Cemetery, New Columbia.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the American Legion Post 71, 401 N. Front St., Milton, PA 17847.
