Charles W. Pursel III, affectionately known as "Billy", 53, of 212 Oak Lane, Lewisburg, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017, at the Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg. He was surrounded by love from his parents and sisters, Diane and Ginny by his side.
He was born Jan. 16, 1964, in Irvington, N.J., a son of Charles W. Jr. and Janet (Reibsome) Pursel of Lewisburg.
Billy attended Lewisburg schools and earned his GED degree. During his lifetime, he held various jobs, most often using his organizational and creative skill.
He had a life-long interest in interior decorating, and loved animals; owning many cats, the latest "Baby Kitty". He had a gentle soul and was loved and will be missed by many friends.
In addition to his loving parents, he is survived by four sisters and a brother, Pamela Conner and her husband Bob, and family, of Lewisburg, Beth Pursel, of Lewisburg, Diane Atie and her husband Tony, and family, of Mountain Top, Virginia Pursel and her family, of Millville, and Brian Pursel and his wife Michelle, and family, of Lutherville, Md.
Bill's friends will be received in Bill's home from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday, June 2, to share memories.
The funeral service will be private and held at the convenience of the family.
