Charles H. "Charlie" Kerstetter, 70, of Selinsgrove, passed away Jan. 26, 2019, at his home.
A Mass of Christian burial will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019, at St. Pius X Catholic Church, 112 Fairview Drive, Selinsgrove, followed by internment in Orchard Hills Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 12:30 to 1 p.m. prior to Mass.

Charlie was born Jan. 23, 1949, in Shamokin, a son of Jean (Fox) Kerstetter and the late Robert A. Kerstetter.
He served honorably in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He retired as an over-the-road truck driver.
Charlie was a member of the Knights of Columbus Council #3780. He was a 4th Degree Knight serving as the Color Corps Commander of the Saint Catherine Drexel Assembly. He was an active member of St. Pius X Catholic Church where he served as a minister of hospitality and a Eucharistic minister. He was a member of the V.F.W. Post 6631 and American Legion Post 25. He was a lifetime member of the NRA.
Charlie was an avid fisherman, hunter and an excellent wood worker. He enjoyed fishing trips to Canada with his brother and wife and long weekends in the mountains with the guys at the Trevorton Y Buck hunting camp. In the 1970s, he was the lead guitar player for the Capris. When his children were young, he volunteered as a Little League coach and Cub Scout leader.

Charlie is survived by his wife of 14 years, Ann Marie, his mother, Jean, his brother, Bob, his son, Scott (Laura), his daughter, Sandra, and his grandchildren, Jessica and Thomas.

In lieu of flowers, those who so desire can make a donation in memory of Charlie to the Disabled American Veterans or Wounded Warrior Foundation.

I'm sorry for your family's loss. Charlie was a great man. He had a heart of gold and a great sense of humor. We had many adventures fishing in Canada. Charlie always laughed when giving or receiving a fly-by while boating. I'll give you one last call, "Tower, this is Ghost Rider requesting permission for a fly-by!" You will be missed but not forgotten. Rest In Peace my friend.

We are very saddened and surprised to hear of Charlie's passing. Charlie, his family and pals enjoyed many years of fishing, telling tales and great comradery staying at our cottages in Canada. The first week in June will not be the same, you will be missed and in our thoughts and prayers Charlie. Rest in Peace.
