Cecile J. Wagner, 93, of McClure, passed away at 12:41a.m. Thursday, July 13, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born May 24, 1924, in McClure, a daughter of the late Aaron and Sarah (Treaster) Wagner.
Cecile was a 1943 graduate of McClure High School.
She had been employed for 35 years as a seamstress at the Arrow Shirt factory and also for several other area sewing factories. In 1999, she became involved with the foster grandparent program at the West Beaver Elementary School.
In her spare time she enjoyed embroidery and sewing coats and suits.
Surviving are her nieces, Bonnie Seler and Cindy Graybill, both of McClure, Vickie Wagner, of Maine, Holly Wagner, of Arkansas, Pamela Shaeffer, of Harrisburg, Patricia Dalton, of Lancaster, and Penelope Hoffman, of Reedsville.
She was preceded in death by her sister, Corda Hoffman, and two brothers, Victor and Quentin Wagner.
Friends and family will be received from 1 to 2 p.m. Sunday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, followed by the funeral at 2, with the Rev. Lisa Schuster officiating.
Burial will follow in the McClure Union Cemetery.
