She was born April 8, 1947, a daughter of the late Napoleon and Olivine Gauthier. On Aug. 16, 1969, she married the joy of her life, Michael Bruce Kirby. Her passing breaks a loving union of 49 years of marriage.
Cecile was a 1965 graduate of Warren Rhode Island High School. In 1968, she received a bachelor of science degree from Rhode Island College and in 1974 she received a masters degree from Eastern Connecticut College.

Besides ringing regularly in Sunday services, the bell choir group played in several community events.
