Casey L. Murray

Events

Casey L. Murray, 43, of 2020 Route 235, Millmont, entered into rest on Friday, Aug. 16, 2019.
He was born March 7, 1976, in Lewisburg, a son of John Murray of Lewisburg, and Cindy (Aikey) Murray of Mazeppa. On Nov. 21, 1998, he married the former Tabitha M. King who survives.

Casey was a 1994 graduate of Mifflinburg Area High School.
He owned and operated Murray Construction and Repair.
Casey started as a junior firefighter and continued for many years, eventually becoming Lieutenant of the West End Fire Company, and a certified Firefighter 2. He was a First Responder and certified EMT.
He loved airbrushing everything, including mailboxes, motorcycles, and cars, and took great pride in his craftsmanship.
Casey enjoyed hunting, fishing, Sunday Funday, Friday night dinners, Saturday breakfasts, riding motorcycles, sitting with his toes in the sand and a beer in his hand with his wife, and spending time in the ocean with his children. He was his children's #1 fan, never missing events in their lives and was always there to cheer them on. He coached their soccer and midget football teams. Casey was a cofounder and standing member of FOT.

Surviving in addition to his wife are two children, Morgan and Ian; one brother, Jason; one nephew, AJ; maternal grandmother, Evelyn Aikey; stepmother, Tina Murray; mother and father-in-law, Wayne and Reese King; and lifelong friend, Tom Aikey.

He was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, Donald and Mary Lee Murray; maternal grandfather, George Aikey; and brother-in-law, Nicolas King.

Family and friends are welcome to a time of visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 20, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 21, followed by a memorial service at 11, at the Roupp Funeral Home Inc., 8594 Old Turnpike Road, Mifflinburg.

Morgan, Ian & Tab. I remember my last conversation with your dad/Casey.

Morgan your dad beamed with pride with how he’d help you get to college - Stating I got this. He was so proud of how smart you are. I understand you r ready as he promised. Time to help him fulfill his promise.

Ian when he spoke you his chest puffed out like a peacock as we talked about football and your upcoming training. He was so proud you were going to play.

Time to hold that line and help drive the win home for him.

Tab he couldn’t share enough about the amazing time the two of you had on vacation. What beautiful lifelong memories you have to cherish.

As your feet hit the sand and tickle your toes
.... It will be Casey saying have a cold one for me Tabby.

I can’t thank you enough for making time to visit while I was up. Much appreciated, respected.. and loved.

John while you r not a hugger your boy gave pretty good ones and I’m glad I got mine that day.

As shared later that day. Casey said if I can be half the “dad” mine is - I’ll be happy.

What a testament to you and the love and respect he had for you.

Hearts are broken there are loss of words, good-byes weren’t said even the I’m sorry. However, I believe Casey loved everyone - regardless of where u were with him. His eyes told the story and his heart did the rest.

So while his job is done here. He will be busy swimming freely in the big blue ocean, soaring high in the sky and watching over all.

So in to the sunset dear Casey until we meet again. 4Ever in Our Hearts.

Love,
Aunt Sherry

So sorry to hear of your loss. To our dear friends John & Tina—we know & feel what you are going through when a loved one passes away while you are away, has happened to us many times. Expressing heartfelt condolences is only a phone call and a text message away, so it's not as painful when you can't be physically present. To all of the family, know that you are in our thoughts & praying for peace & acceptance of Casey's untimely death. Little we know of him, he would want you to go on.

Tabby, I am so sorry for you and your families loss. When I heard what had happened I was shocked. Some of my favorite memories we're when I coached midget football, Casey was one who you could count on to always be there to help out. He was a great man that was taken way too soon. My heart goes out to you and your family. Prayers going out to you all. Casey will be missed by many. R.I.P. buddy

Casey coached my daughter in soccer and that was the first time I met him. I remember thinking this guy is way too calm and cool and has the perfect outlook and attitude to coach youth sports.

Our condolences and prayers to his friends and family.
