Carolyn K. Hoffman, 72, of Richfield, entered into rest on Saturday, Feb. 3, 2018, in the Locust Grove Retirement Village, Mifflin.
She was born Dec. 13, 1945, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Sterle and Ruth (Garman) Shirk. She was married to Dale R. Hoffman who survives. The couple were married for 53 years.
Carolyn was a 1963 graduate of East Juniata High School.
She assisted her husband with the family farm and and worked at a greenhouse. She later worked at local restaurants and Quality Drive Away Vehicles and RV's.
She attended Lauver Mennonite Church.
Carolyn enjoyed reading, riding snowmobile, and traveling out west.
In addition to her husband, Carolyn is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Vonda and Glenn Hoffman, of Richfield; three grandchildren, Ethan, Cody, and Heidi Hoffman; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Arlene and Charles Leitzel, of Richfield and Marge and Roger Smith, and nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by one daughter, Brenda Hoffman; and two sisters, Mildred Moyer and Esther Snyder.
Friends and family are invited to the visitation from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday and from 10 to 11 a.m. Thursday, followed by the funeral at 11, at the George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills, with Pastor Glenn Lauver officiating.
Burial will be in Richfield Union Cemetery.
