Caroline J. "Carol" Bowersox, 56, of Rapp Hill Road, Mount Pleasant Mills, passed away on Friday evening, Nov. 24, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born June 1, 1961, in Sunbury, a daughter of Doyle H. Kratzer Jr., of Middleburg, and the late Connie J. (Rettinger) Kratzer. On Nov. 23, 1985, she married Roger E. Bowersox who survives.
Carol attended Selinsgrove High School and graduated from the Empire Beauty School.
She was a licensed cosmetologist and had worked at Holiday Hair and had worked as a CNA at the Rathfon Convalescent Home, Selinsgrove.
Carol enjoyed flowers, gardening, doing crafts, watching the birds at her home, and going to the beach. She adored her daughter, son, granddaughter and the love of her life.
In addition to her husband and father, she is survived by one daughter, Jody Bowersox, of Freeburg; one son, Roger Bowersox Jr., of Mount Pleasant Mills; one granddaughter, Aliyah Mercado, of South Williamsport; two sisters, Wanda and Floyd Ettinger, of Middleburg, and Brenda Kratzer, of Mount Pleasant Mills; and one brother and sister-in-law, Steve and Jennifer Kratzer, of Selinsgrove; and numerous nieces and nephews.
A viewing will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg, followed by the funeral at 11.
Burial will be in Orchard Hills Cemetery, Shamokin Dam.
Carol and her family wish to thank the doctors and nursing staff at Geisinger Medical Center for the care given to Carol.
