Carol Diane Keefer

Events

Carol Diane Keefer, 72, of West Milton, entered into rest at 2:49 a.m. Wednesday, July 17, 2019, at the Geisinger Medical Center.
She was born March 22, 1947, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Elwood F. and Mary H. (Kistler) Keefer.

Carol was a 1965 graduate of Mifflinburg High School.
She was employed as a driver for USTA for 14 years. She also operated the family dairy farm, worked at numerous local banks as a teller, and owned her own painting business for 10 years.
She was a member of Cornerstone Christian Church, where she sang in the church choir. Carol was spiritually strong and was considered the rock of the family. She was a great encourager to many people. She also served with Stonecroft Ministry for three years in Kansas City, Mo., as a traveling missionary.
Carol was a very social person, always talking with people, loved nature and gardening, and collecting lighthouses. Being that she grew up on the family dairy farm she was always involved in the operation and her and her brother, Wayne would show cattle at the Union County West End Fair.

Surviving is one sister-in-law, Susan K. Keefer of Lewisburg; two nephews, Duane S. Keefer and wife Nancy of Mifflinburg, and Benjamin E. Keefer and fiancée Jessica of Mifflinburg; two nieces, Heidi J. Mohney and husband Jim of Waxhaw, N.C., and Becky Sue Keefer of Lewisburg; seven great-nieces and nephews, Braden, Isaiah, Zeyden, Cody, Joshua, Curtis and Jessica.
She was preceded in death by one brother, E. Wayne Keefer.

Family and friends are invited to Carol's life celebration service at 2 p.m. Sunday, July, 21, at Cornerstone Christian Fellowship, 205 Bull Run Crossing, Lewisburg, with the Rev. Jeffrey Yount, officiating.
Interment will be private in the Mazeppa Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Carol's memory may be sent to Wycliffe Bible Translators for her Niece and Nephew's Ministry: Jim and Heidi Mohney Acc. #215992, Wycliffe Bible Translators, P.O. Box 628200, Orlando, FL 32862 or call 1-800-Wycliffe to donate.

Carol's passing is quite an earthly loss. I serve with the Yokefellowship Prison Ministry and Carol was a valuable part of the SUN Area Council team for many years. I always appreciated her loving gentle spirit and her dedication to service. Philippians 1:21 says, "For me, to live is Christ and to die is gain." No doubt, Carol has transitioned into a new existence with Jesus that will be much more than she could ever imagine!

She sat we me and couple other ladies during our church services............she will be missed in our row and in our hearts. God chose to take her home . She has graduated to heaven and her reward.
