Brenda J. Boyer, 77, of 2659 Route 61, Sunbury, passed away Aug. 10, 2018, at Evangelical Community Hospital, Lewisburg.
She was born Feb. 28, 1941, in Stonington, a daughter of the late Frank and June (Gottshall) Wilhour. On Jan. 28, 1961, she married John D. Boyer who survives.

Brenda was a 1959 graduate of Shamokin High School.
She was employed by Wilson Manufacturing as head bookkeeper for many years.
She was a member of Millers Crossroads United Methodist Church.
Brenda was a shopper, a yard saler, and a great dancer and had once tried to get on American Bandstand.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one son Lynn W. and Lori Boyer of Durham, N.C.; one daughter, Keri Jo and James Miller of Danville; three grandchildren, Ashley Hester, Rochelle Austin, and Matthew Miller; six great- grandchildren, Madison and Olivia Hester, Tighe Miller, Dakota, Cameron, and Xander Austin; one brother, Raymond and Judy Wilhour of Florida; one sister, Faylene and Robert Weaver of Georgia; and niece and nephews, Ryan, Heather and Chris.

Friends and family may call from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Stonington Baptist Church, 2113 Hosta Road, Paxinos, where the funeral will be conducted at 10:30 a.m. Saturday with Pastor Doug Hallman officiating.
Interment will follow in Millers Crossroads United Methodist Church Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Millers Crossroads or Stonington Church congregation.

Arrangements are by the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury.

John and family,
You and your family are in my prayers during this difficult time. I did not know Brenda very well, but I could tell that she was a special lady. She is in a better place now and God will take care of her.

As hard as it is to say goodbye to your loved one you must have some peace knowing she is no longer trapped in that disabled body. What a glorious day for your mom.
