Bradley A. Young, 61, of 510 Catawissa Avenue, Sunbury, passed away on Nov. 24, 2016, at Sunbury Community Hospital.
He was born Feb. 13, 1955, in Sunbury, a son of the late Charles S. and Phyllis M. (Lenker) Young. On Nov. 14, 1971, he married the former Deborah K. Heim, who survives.
Brad graduated Shikellamy High School in 1973.
He served in the National Guard from 1973 to 1975.
Brad was employed at the Sunbury Textile Mill his entire working career.
He was a life-time member of the East End Hose Company.
He was an avid fan of the N.Y. Yankees and Philadelphia Eagles.
Brad is survived by his wife; one son, Zachary A. Young and companion Billie Jo Bickhart, of Port Trevorton; one daughter, Nichole D. Snyder and companion Thomas E. Bucher, of Selinsgrove; six grandchildren, Jerrod A. Millyard, Nathaniel S. Young, Kiersten D. Young, Kayleigh A. Snyder, Kaidence A. Snyder and Kendall E. Bucher; two brothers, Charles and his wife Jan Young, of Sunbury, and Craig Young, of Sunbury; and many nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents.
Friends and family may visit from 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday, at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the United Lutheran Church, 167 Seven Points Rd., Sunbury, with the Revs. Andrew Weaver and Kim Smith officiating.
Interment will follow at the Wolfe's Crossroads Cemetery.
