Billy Sampsell, 58, of 945 W. Arch St., Coal Township, passed away in the early morning on Monday, Sept. 25, 2017, at his home.
He was born June 16, 1959, in Lewisburg, the son of Doris (Tyson) Linn, of Sunbury, and the late Paul F. Sampsell.
Billy was a graduate of Warrior Run High School and worked as a supervisor at the Weis Milk Plant, Sunbury.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching sports on television, and especially loved spending time with his son, Michael.
Billy is survived by his fiancee and companion of 19 years, Cheryle Badman, of Coal Township; two sons, Justin W. Dugan and Michael Badman, both of Coal Township; a stepdaughter, Alison Dugan and her fiance William Foulds, of Trevorton; a stepgranddaughter, Jazmyn Foulds, of Trevorton; two brothers and sisters-in-law, Karl "Wayne" and Ruby Sampsell, of Greenville, Tenn., and David and Bonnie Sampsell, of Watsontown; and his beloved dog, Munchkin, who he thoroughly enjoyed.
A funeral service will be held at a later date.
As an expression of sympathy, the family requests memorial contributions be made to a local non-profit hunting or fishing club.
