Betty F. Williams, 92, of North Old Trail, Selinsgrove, passed away Dec. 24, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center.
She was born July 21, 1925, in Sunbury, a daughter of the late Ira A. and Mary A. (Wagner) Herman. She married Paul Williams on Jan. 11, 1946, who passed on June 10, 2011, after 65 years of marriage.
Betty was a 1943 graduate of Sunbury High School.
She was employed as a seamstress for many years, at various clothing factories including David Knit in Northumberland, where she served as the union chair lady for 12 years.
She was a member of the First Reformed U.C.C. for 80 years, the VFW Auxiliary, and had served as past president of the American Legion Post 201 Auxiliary.
Betty enjoyed family camping trips to Wildwood, N.J., visiting family in Indiana, or playing bingo, Scrabble, and card games.
Betty is survived by her children, Paul Williams Jr. (Sharon), Stephen Williams (Patricia), James I. Williams, Patricia A. Barrett (Joseph), Seth J. Williams, and Maryann Kutz; 15 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Charles and Leo Herman.
Friends and family may visit from 10 to 11 a.m. Friday at the David T. Zweier Funeral Home Inc., 157 Chestnut St., Sunbury, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. Janna Born Larsen officiating.
Interment will follow in Orchard Hills Cemetery.
