Betty P. Ulmer Betty P. Ulmer, 87, of Mount Pleasant Mills, formerly of Quarry Road, Beavertown, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Sunday, Nov. 4, 2018, at her home.
She was born May 14, 1931, in Williamsport, a daughter of the late Herman and Lydia P. (Domein) Harris.

Betty was a graduate of the Hepburnville High School and on Jan. 14, 1950, she married Robert W. Ulmer who preceded her in death on Dec. 22, 2013.
Earlier in her life she had been employed by C.A. Reed, and for 63 years she was a farmer's wife.
She attended the Christian Union Church, Mount Pleasant Mills.
Betty enjoyed her herb and flower gardening, bird watching, and doing puzzles. She was a seamstress, but the greatest joy of her life was her children and grandchildren. She will be remembered as a Proverbs 31 woman.

She is survived by eight children and their spouses, Linda Hoffman of Mount Pleasant Mills, David and Marie Ulmer of Selinsgrove, Richard and Lori Ulmer of Middleburg, Susan and Byron DeLong of Middleburg, Marilyn and Dave Shaffer of Mount Pleasant Mills, John Ulmer of Mount Pleasant Mills, Ann and Scott Radel of Beavertown, and Rebecca and Rodney Walter of Lewisburg; 58 grandchildren and their spouses; 55 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by one grandson, Jeremiah Ulmer; one great-grandson, Jeremiah Swaffer; one brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Harris; and one son-in-law, Randolph Hoffman.

Friends and family will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday, and from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, followed by the funeral at 11, at the Paxtonville United Methodist Church, with Pastor Daryl Kuhns officiating.
Burial will be in the Paxtonville Cemetery.

Contributions to honor Betty's memory may be made to the Mission Fund of the Christian Union Church, 5230 Route 104, Mount Pleasant Mills, PA 17853.

Arrangements are by the Hummel Funeral Home, 574 Hill St., Middleburg.
