Betty's Story

Betty Sarah Stahley, 83, of Mifflinburg entered into rest at 5:40 p.m. Saturday, March 10, 2018, at her residence surrounded by family.
She was born Sept. 16, 1934, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Roy Hinish and Bessie Dorothy (Harmon) Betzer. On July 26, 1952, in Lewisburg, she married Robert Clinton Stahley Sr., who survives.

Betty was a 1952 graduate of Lewisburg High School.
She was employed as a customer service representative at M&T Bank and West Milton State Bank. Earlier in life she worked for the Mifflinburg Borough for more than 10 years.
She was attending Christ Wesleyan Church, Milton.
Betty enjoyed golfing and was member of the Shade Mountain Golf Course.

Surviving are three sons and daughters-in-law, Robert C. Jr. and Terry Stahley of Lewisburg, Thomas W. and Alicia Stahley of Chowchilla, Calif., Andrew E. and Ginny Stahley of Morgantown, W.Va.; two daughters and sons-in-law, Tracey and Michael Mensch of Mifflinburg, Julie and Michael Dorman of Milton; 11 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; and one brother, Frank Hinish of Northumberland.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Ellis and Ollie Hinish; and one sister, Gladys Bowersox.

Family and friends are invited to the viewing from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Adamo's, 16 Walnut St., Mifflinburg and from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Road, Milton, followed by the funeral at 1, with the Rev. Ken Paulhamus and Pastor Ryan Brosious, officiating.
Interment will be in the New Berlin Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Betty's memory may be made to Christ Wesleyan Church, 363 Stamm Road, Milton, PA 17847 or Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
