Betty's Story

Betty Mae Reibsome, 89, of Milton, passed away on Sept. 26, 2017, at Watsontown Nursing and Rehab Center.
She was born Dec. 19, 1927, in Danville, the oldest child of the late Clarence R. and Lavina M. (Crossley) Griffin. She was married to Harry E. Reibsome Sr. for 53 years before his death in 2000.

Betty was a graduate of Milton High School and worked as a sales clerk for Bowen's Department Store and Allen's True Value, both in Milton.
She enjoyed bird watching, nature, reading, puzzles, and writing letters of encouragement to others. Most of all she loved her family and her Lord.

She is survived by two daughters, Rose Anna Moser (Don), of Milton and Maggie French (Ken), of Rochester, N.Y.; a daughter-in-law, Janet Reibsome, of Concord, N.C.; a brother, Richard Griffin, of Milton; two sisters, Peggy Dugan, of Milton and Rose Marie Reibsome, of Montandon; six grandchildren, Jeff, Tina, Brea, Brandon, Candy, and Ryan; seven great-grandchildren, Mackenzie, Kenny, Alyza, Emma, Courtney, Chloe, and Caitlyn; and two great-great-grandchildren, James and Leon.
Betty was preceded in death by one son, Harry E. "Eddie" Reibsome Jr.; one sister, Faye Reibsome; and one brother, Benjamin Griffin.

A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday in Harmony Cemetery, Milton, with Pastor Butch Woolsey of the Mifflinburg Church of New Life, officiating.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Alzheimer's Association, P.O. Box 96011, Washington, D.C. 20090-6011.
