Betty J. Pick Betty J. Pick, 77, of 131 Pennsylvania Ave., Sunbury, formerly of Herndon, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, Oct. 5, 2018, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
She was born Sept. 3, 1941, in Hickory Corners, a daughter of the late Charles F. and Margaret E. (Thurston) Spotts. She was married to Jay Pick Sr. who survives.

Betty was a 1959 graduate of Mahanoy Joint High School.
She retired from the First National Bank in Lewisburg.
Betty was a very active member of Zion Lutheran Church Herndon, serving as the church organist and pianist for more than 40 years. In addition to filling the roles of youth and senior choir director, she was a Sunday school teacher and had served on Church Council.
She was a life member of the East End Fire Company, Sunbury, a member of the Point Township Fire Company, the Herndon Fire Company, and the Moose International.
Betty taught piano and organ from her Herndon home for countless children and adults, and enjoyed camping, golf and bowling.

In addition to her husband, she is survived by one daughter and son-in-law, Robin and Dan Rothermel of Etters; one son and daughter-in-law, Rodney and Kathy Adams of Belair, Md.; one stepson and wife, Jay Jr. and Angie Pick of Cape Coral, Fla.; four grandchildren; seven stepgrandchildren; one great-grandchild; two stepgreat-grandchildren; one brother and sister-in-law, Truman and Betty Spotts of Herndon; and nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by one brother, Gerald Spotts; and one stepdaughter, Yevette Lee.

A celebration of life service will be held at a later date at Zion Lutheran Church Herndon.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Betty's memory to Zion Lutheran Church, P.O. Box 384, Herndon, PA 17830.

The Robert G. Foust Jr. Funeral Home, 841 W. Shamokin St., Trevorton is assisting the family with arrangements.
