Barbara C. Stahl, died at her home on Friday afternoon, May 11, 2018.
She was born in East Stroudsburg, a daughter of the late Earl M. and Jane (Albert) Cole. She was married for 41 years to Frank B. Stahl who preceded her in death in 2005.
Barbara graduated from East Stroudsburg High School, East Stroudsburg University, and received a masters degree from Bucknell University.
She taught in East Stroudsburg, Milton, and Florida. She retired from White Deer Elementary School in 1982. After she retired she and her husband spent the winters in Florida.
She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Lewisburg, and the Church by the Sea in Florida. She was a member of the choir in both churches.
Surviving are three sons, Martin (Machiko) Whittaker, David (Sharon) Whittaker, and Stephen Whittaker; one daughter and her husband, Patricia (Fred) Grenoble; six grandchildren, Lisa (Greg) Cessarone, Alicia (Dwight) Hertzler, Kyle (Heidi) Whittaker, Curtis (Amy) Grenoble, Emili (Alan) Ward and Abbey (Matthew) Damore; and 11 great-grandchildren, Libby, Lucas, Jack, Adison, Makenzie, Emma, Caleb, Malachi, Dylan, Lilia and Anna
Friends and relatives will be received from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Saturday, May 19, at Dreisbach United Church of Christ, followed by a memorial service at 12:30, with John Stahl officiating.
Burial will be private.
The family will provide flowers and asks that donations in Barbara's memory be made to the Hospice of Evangelical, 235 Hospital Drive, Lewisburg, PA 17837.
Funeral arrangements are by the John H. Shaw III Funeral Home, Market and Eighth streets. Lewisburg.
