Arnold J. Gentner Sr., 86, of Selinsgrove, entered into rest on Saturday, Dec. 2, 2017, at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
He was born Aug. 2, 1931, in Philadelphia, a son of the late Frederick and Rose (Luke) Gentner. He was the husband of Denajean (Sebastian) Praul-Gentner.
Arnold was a 1950 graduate of Upper Darby High School and served in the Navy during the Korean War.
He was an architect and building space designer and retired from Brass Lock and Key.
Arnold was a member of the Selinsgrove Zoning Board and All Saints Episcopal Church.
In addition to his wife, he is survived by four children, Steven Gentner and wife Rose, Arnold James Gentner Jr., Nanci Jean Gentner, and Robert Gentner and wife Karen; two stepchildren, Jennifer (Praul) Winterscheidt and husband Joseph, and Christopher Praul; nine grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one sister and brother-in-law, Jesse Marie and William Kuch.
Arnold was preceded by his first wife of 50 years, Jean (Miller) Gentner, the mother of his children; and one brother, Ted Gentner.
A memorial service and burial will be held in June at All Saints Episcopal Church the date and time will be announced at a later time.

The George P. Garman Funeral Homes Inc., 9366 Route 35, Mount Pleasant Mills is assisting the family with the arrangements.
