Arlene M.E. Badger, 84, of Johnstown Road, Mifflinburg, passed away on Monday, April 17, 2017, at 10:25 a.m. surrounded by her family at her home.
She was born Jan. 16, 1933, in Lewisburg, a daughter of the late Norman and Hattie (Snyder) Miller. On March 26, 1949, she married William Badger who preceded her in death in 1978.
Arlene was employed for 33 years at Yorktowne Kitchens.
In her spare time, Arlene enjoyed playing 31, gardening, and loved having family picnics.
She is survived by three children, Mary Kauffman, Gloria Wolfe and husband Allen, and Joann Brandiff and husband, Larry; grandchildren, Michael Badger and wife Christie, Dawn Kauffman, Jason Wolfe, Chad Wolfe, William Brandiff, Joshua Brandiff, Mindy Wray and husband Sam, Michelle Badger and Paul Badger; great-grandchildren, Dustin Kauffman, Zack Kauffman, Wade Kauffman, Jamie Buckles Jr., Aiden Badger, Trichelle Campbell, Cameron Wolfe, Logan Schlief, Austin Badger, Dalton Andres, Emily Andres, Cameron Badger, Lacee Wray, Abby Wray and Hope Wray; great-great-grandchild, Sawyer Kauffman; and two brothers, Dale Miller and Lester Miller.
She was preceded in death by one son, Dennis Badger; one son-in-law, Dennis Kauffman; one great-great-grandson, Henry Barben; six brothers, Glen Reedy, Danny Miller, Charlie Miller, Lee Miller, Merlin Miller and Marlin Miller; and three sisters, Ruth Schreck, Pauline Day, Ethel Woosley, and a sister in infancy.
A visitation will be held from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Saturday at the Mifflinburg Church of New Life, 8700 Buffalo Road, Mifflinburg, followed by a memorial service at 11:30, with the Rev. Butch Woolsey officiating.
Arrangements are by the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown.
