Arlene's Story

Arlene I. "Annie" Auker, 69, of Millerstown, entered into rest on Saturday morning, Aug. 20, 2016, at the home of her son and daughter-in-law. She was the wife of the late Richard P. Auker, who preceded her in death on Aug. 30, 2006.

Arlene was born Mar. 25, 1947, in McAlisterville, a daughter of the late George and Minnie (Gill) Bickhart.

She was a graduate of Greenwood High School.

Arlene was formerly employed at East Salem Shirt Factory, the Handy-mart in Richfield, and the Paper Horse. Annie also did babysitting for many families and was known as mom by many.

She attended St. Peters Community Church, Millerstown. She was a member of the Richfield Fire Company and Ambulance league.

She enjoyed reading, puzzles, bingo, all kinds of music, and sharing on Facebook. Arlene loved to spend time with her family and friends.

Annie is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Michael L. and Wanda Auker, of Richfield; two granddaughters, Makaila and Samantha Auker, who called her "MeMe"; two sisters, Ada Fisher, of Mt. Pleasant Mills, and Norma Weimer and her husband Samuel, of McAlisterville; one brother, Roy Bickhart and his wife Vickie, of Pheonixville; many nieces and nephews; and her friend Marlene Landis, who was like a sister to Annie.

She was preceded in death by one brother; and one sister.

The family invites friends to the memorial service at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday at St. Peters Community Church, Zeiders Road, Millerstown. Officiating will be Pastor Brittin F. Stimeling.

Respecting Arlene's wishes, the burial will be private.
