Arlanda F. "Sandy" Glant, 88, of East Market St., Beavertown, passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017, at William Penn Nursing Home in Lewistown.
He was born April 25, 1929, in Lewistown, a son of the late Arlanda W. and Ada (Sellers) Glant. On Aug. 27, 1948, he married Rose Marie (Kline) Glant who preceded him in death.
Sandy worked for the Pennelec Electric Company retiring in 1989.
He was a member of Grace Reformed Church in Troxelville.
Sandy enjoyed life and spending time with his family and friends. His love and passion was playing the piano and banjo.
Surviving are two daughters and sons-in-law, Janet and Keith Klinepeter, of Beavertown and Carol and Glen Boyer, of Milroy; three grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Mrs. Joan Pontius, of Lancaster and Mrs. Mary Jayne Grabill, of McAlisterville.
He was preceded in death in addition to his wife by one grandson, Brian K. Klinepeter.
Friends and family will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday at the Pheasant Funeral Home, 316 W. Market St., Beavertown, followed by the funeral at 11, with the Rev. A. Peter Christensen officiating.
Burial will be held at 3 p.m. in St. Marks Cemetery, Lewistown.
