Anna "Marie" Faust
She was born Aug. 1, 1922, in Shamokin, the only child of the late John "Jack" and Verna (Pincoski) O'Leary. She married the love of her life, Blair Faust, on June 15, 1944. They were married in Salem United Church of Christ, the church on "the hill" in Coal Township. They were married for 68 years until his passing on March 12, 2013.
Anna graduated from Coal Township High School in 1941.
She was employed as a seamstress for the Lark Dress Company for 24 years.
She was one of the oldest members of the Salem United Church of Christ.
Anna loved her family unconditionally and loved cooking and baking for her family, especially her raisin filled cookies.
Anna had an outstanding memory. She could remember the names of all her neighbors and moments of her life, until the disease of Alzheimer's took over when she was in her early 90s.
She is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Blair J. and Linda Faust of Coal Township, and Michael and Bobbie Faust of Sunbury; four grandchildren, Blair B. Faust and wife, Margaret, Brenda L. Faust Snyder and husband Ben, Michael B. Faust and fiance, Kirsten Castrilli, and Kellyann M. Crissman and husband Marc; great-grandchildren, Blair D. Faust, Katie Faust, Mallory, Maddy, Luke, Ellie, Jack, Clara and Lyla Snyder, Wyatt and Donovan Faust, and Cage and Cydney Crissman.
A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Monday at Salem United Church of Christ, 1300 Pine St., Coal Township, with the Rev. Jean Eckrod officiating.
Burial will be in Odd Fellows Cemetery, Coal Township.
