Anna E. Dill, 91, of Sunbury, passed away on Sunday, Aug. 6, 2017, at the Sunbury Health and Rehabilitation Center.
She was born Oct. 21, 1925, in Lewistown, a daughter of the late Raymond and Florence (Emery) Wenrich. She was married to Kenneth Dill who preceded her in death on Dec. 12, 1997.
Anna was a 1943 graduate of Danville High School.
She was emloyed in Sunbury for the Champ Hats, Westinghouse, and the J.J. Newberry store. She was last employed as a nursing assistant at the Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.
Ann was a member of First Presbyterian Church, Sunbury.
She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, Kenneth G. and Karen Dill, of Maryland; one daughter and son-in-law, Kathy A. and Norman Gessner, of Sunbury; four grandchildren, Amy Dill, Ryan Dill, Kristin McLaughlin and husband Shawn, and Brooke Gessner; one great-grandchild, Brendan McLaughlin; one brother, David Wenrich, of California; three sisters and one brother-in-law, Ruth Hower and Shirley Showers, both of Danville, and Ruby and George Buckley, of Riverside; and daughter-in-law, Joan Dill.
She ws preceded in death by one son, William; one brother, William Wenrich; and three sisters, Joan Wenrich, Marion Gordon and Florence Hettinger.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday at 2 p.m. at the Pomfret Manor Cemetery, Sunbury.
Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
