Angela J. Zimmerman

Events

Angela J. Zimmerman, 46, of Northumberland, peacefully slipped away on Thursday, July 11, 2019, with her family by her side after a short-lived, but very courageous battle with illness.
She was born Nov. 9, 1972, in Sunbury, a daughter of Girard Deibler and Linda (Herman) Young. On Jan. 12, 1991, she married John W. Zimmerman who survives.

One of Angela's (Angie's) greatest talents revolved around her home. Her house was always well kept and was beautifully decorated with her handmade crafts. She loved shopping for her family and was a great mother to two wonderful children. She loved the holidays, and her presence in the many family occasions we shared, always seemed to escalate the level of good-natured humor and joking which we all so much enjoyed.
Angie's greatest joy, however, was the gift of grandchildren. Angie loved her grandchildren and spent many days of her week lovingly caring for them. She was patient and soft spoken to them, and even spent time instructing them how to do some simple crafts. Her grandchildren honored her by giving her the prestigious title of "Nanny".
In addition to her husband of 28 years, she is survived by her father, Girard Deibler of Sunbury; mother and stepfather, Linda and Todd Young of Sunbury; one son and daughter-in-law, Justin and Elisha Zimmerman of Northumberland; one daughter and her companion, Jonna Zimmerman and Trey Miller of Hughesville; three grandchildren, Carson, Gabrielle "Gabby", and Cash Zimmerman of Northumberland; two brothers and their respective companions, Randy Deibler and Sue Smith of Carlisle, and Frank Deibler and Jennifer Shipe of Sunbury; one sister and brother-in-law, Jennifer and Jim Carr of Sunbury; many nieces and nephews; and their beloved dog, Reagan.

At Angie's request there will be a private funeral service in her beloved home.

Arrangements are by the Joseph W. Epler Funeral Home, 210 King St., Northumberland.

What can one say
When a loved one goes away
I wish I knew the future
That way I could tell you
Made time to catch up on life
Yes , I would have, but MY shame to bare
I feel regret that I wasn’t there
You were a important part of my childhood
Something others would never know or understood
Thank you for the times we had
I would never ever would say anything got in our way
We enjoyed many times and memories
Living life and being happy and free
You raised a beautiful family
I’m so sad we didn’t catch up and parted ways
I’m so proud of you and how you lived
I still can’t believe , I’ll never be able to say
But I will always remember and cherish those days
Rest in peace my dea
...r young friend
It’s not fair that your not here
In our hearts you will stay
Forever , God Bless you and fear no fear.

Life is a journey of sweetness & sorrow,Of yesterday's memories and hopes for tomorrows. Of pathways we choose and detours we face, With patience and humor, courage and grace. Of joys that we've shared and of people we've met who have touched us in ways we will never forget. May all the warm and special memories you shared with your loved one stay with you and bring you comfort through all the days to come. My deepest condolences.
