Angela A. "Mimi" Benfer, 56, of Winfield, passed away Friday, Oct. 6, 2017, in the emergency room of Geisinger Medical Center from injuries sustained in a motor vehicle accident in Snyder County.
She was born March 29, 1961, in Lewisburg.
Angela was a 1979 graduate of Middleburg High School and Sun Area Technical School. She later graduated from Penn State University with a degree in adult education.
She had been employed at Wood Mode, Kreamer as a pre-press technician and also at Evangelical Community Hospital as a unit assistant in the emergency room.
She was the secretary of the Selinsgrove Marching Band Boosters and enjoyed watching NASCAR races. She loved spending time with her family, vacationing at the beach, and camping. She was a very selfless person who always gave of herself to others.
She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Jason Kling, and granddaughter, Laurynn Kling, all of Watsontown; two sisters, Dixie Keyser, of Sunbury and Joie Dozpat, of White Deer; three nephews; one niece; one great-niece and great-nephew, and two grand-puppies.
She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Beulah Nornhold.
Family and friends are encouraged to attend a visitation from 1 to 2 p.m. Saturday at Brooks Funeral Home, 124 Main St., Watsontown, to show witness of the lives she impacted throughout her life. A memorial service will follow at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Paul A. Smith of First Presbyterian Church, Watsontown, officiating.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests contributions in memory of Angela to be made to Selinsgrove Marching Band Booster Club, 500 N. Broad St., Selinsgrove, PA 17870.
Arrangements have been entrusted to Brooks Funeral Home and Cremation Svc, PC, 124 Main St., Watsontown.
