Alphonse's Story

Alphonse A. Rozoski, 83, of Sunbury, PA passed away Thursday, Feb. 15, 2018, at Geisinger Medical Center, Danville.

He was born on Aug. 2, 1934 in Shamokin, the son of the late Charles and Josephine (Kerkilla) Rozoski.

He attended Coal Township Schools.

Alphonse worked for many years for his dad at Hilltop Cafe in Shamokin, and later at Ritz Craft Industries, until retirement. He was a member of the Irish Valley Gun Club and the NRA. He was an avid hunter and an excellent marksman. He also enjoyed fishing, the mountains, and the rattlesnake hunt in Morris, Pa.

He was loved greatly and will be missed by all.

He was preceded in death by one sister, Barbara.

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, June Catherine (Koklinski) Rozoski of Sunbury; one daughter, Lisa James of Sunbury; one grandson, Devon; and one sister, Antoinette of Fla.

There will be a celebration of his life in the spring, his favorite season, for family and friends.

Memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association or American Cancer Society.
