Alice L. Carter, 92, of Upper Market Street, Milton, went home to Heaven on Feb. 2, 2018, at her home.
She was born Aug. 2, 1925, in Milton, a daughter of the late George M. and Adah (Belles) Boudman. She was married on June 12, 1945 to the late Walter "Gene" Carter.
Alice attended the Point School and graduated from Milton High School in 1943.
She worked as a secretary in Quality Control at Chef Boyardee.
She was a lifelong active member of the First Baptist Church in Milton.
She liked oil painting and quilting. Alice's grandchildren were her everything and she loved all her family very much.
She is survived by two daughters and one son-in-law, Flossi Betts of Milton and Mary and Gelasio Prosseda of Milton; one son, William "Cowboy" Watts of Milton; son-in-law, Ken Rathburn of Milton; daughter-in-law, Josie Carter of Milton; 12 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
Alice was preceded in death by her husband; one son, Arthur Carter; one daughter, Ann Rathburn; two brothers, Colonel Arthur Boudman and Albert Boudman; one sister, Florence Miller; and a son-in-law, Alan Betts.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday at the First Baptist Church, 316 Golf Course Road, Milton, with the Rev. Jamie Dries officiating.
