August 14, 1928 - September 13, 2018

Aleatha E. Rorick Aleatha E. Rorick, 90, of Sunbury, passed from this world surrounded by loved ones at Manor Care, Sunbury, on Thursday, Sept. 13, 2018, after a year long illness.
She was born Aug. 14, 1928, a daughter of the late Lester and Mary (Puhanak) Tobias.

Aleatha graduated from Coal Township High School in 1946.
She worked as a sewing machine operator for many years at Shroyer's, Arrow, and Country Made.
She was a long-time member of First Reformed United Church of Christ, Sunbury.
Aleatha's passion after retirement was being "Grandma" to young people at Oaklyn Elementary, CSIU classrooms, and the Sunbury YMCA through the Foster Grandparent program. She loved being a foster grandparent for the last 20 years.

She is survived by one son, Daniel H. Diehl, his wife Mary; one daughter, Lynett L. Hunter, her husband Lynn; four grandchildren; three great- grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and many extended family members whom she loved.
She was preceded in death by her husband, John "Jack" Rorick; one brother, Lester; and one sister, Eleanora.

Per Aleatha's request there will be no public viewing. A graveside service will be held in the Northumberland Memorial Park Cemetery at the family's convenience.

In lieu of flowers, please make a donation to the Foster Grandparent Program, Mostly Mutts, or First Reformed UCC of Sunbury.

Arrangements are by the Jerre Wirt Blank Funeral Home, 395 State St., Sunbury.
